Your four jacks will be useful for clearing the table in the endgame. When a player picks up instead of beating the previous play, the next play is made by the previous player - i.
William J Putt describes a version locally known as Smeghead with the following differences: They use several decks of cards shuffled together.
At the start each player has four cards face down, four face up and a hand of four rather than three, three and three.
The first person to play a 10 or complete a four of a kind, clearing away the pile, is known as the "flush" person, and has to clear away the pile each time this happens in future.
As players run out of cards they continue playing until only one player has cards left. This player is known as the "smeg head". Jane Guarducci has contributed the following variation s : A seven can be played on anything and is "glass", meaning that the next player must play a card which could legally have been played on the card before the seven.
For example, if a 7 is played on an Ace, the next player must beat an Ace. If a 7 is played to the empty table nothing under it it has the value of 7.
When an eight is played the next card must be lower than 8, or another 8, or a joker. A ten can be played on anything except an eight and causes the pile to be cleared as usual.
The player of the 10 plays again to the empty table. A joker can be played on anything and next player misses a turn. If there are just two players in the game this means that the player of the joker immediately plays another card of any value.
In games of more than two players the joker is treated in one of three ways: as glass like a 7 or with a value of 7, or with a value of 2.
To avoid arguments decide before starting which of these variations is being played. At your turn you can play an ascending sequence of consecutive cards in a single suit, provided that the first card beats the previous play.
All the subsequent plays must also be legal, so the sequence would be terminated by an eight, since after an eight the next card is required to be lower or equal.
If the sequence reached 10 the pile would be thrown away and the same player would start a new pile with any play. The first player is the player who receives a three face-up.
If there is not a 3 face-up, the first player to declare they have a three in hand is the first player.
If there are no 3s dealt, repeat with four and so on. The first player starts the discard pile. Draw cards from the stock to maintain a three card hand.
Play passes clockwise. Players must play a single card or a set of cards of equal rank by placing them face-up on the discard pile on their turn and subsequently drawing cards from the stock.
The cards played must be equal or higher ranking than the card previously played. Company Size Company Size: 1 - 25 26 - 99 - - 1, - 4, 5, - 9, 10, - 19, 20, or More.
The final player left in the game is known as the "shithead". Under most rules, the shithead's only role is to deal the next set of cards.
Players must determine a punishment for being the "shithead", such as the shithead must fetch the next round of drinks or do something humiliating.
The crowned "shithead" will remain named so until the game is played again, and a new shithead is crowned. Whilst the shithead should be rightfully ashamed by their status, the collective group can only refuse to play the game for a maximum period of one week before agreeing to a new game of shithead and possible retribution.
Refusing a chance at retribution for undue periods of time is deemed against the spirit of the game.
Beyond one week the title of shithead is void. Two Jokers can be added to the deck as additional wildcards. Don't like Star Wars? Click here to turn the theme off.

This online version of Shithead was made by me. My name is Einar Egilsson and over there on the left is my current Facebook profile picture!
Maybe I shouldn't have put my picture so close to the 'About Shithead' headline! Oh well. A while ago I wanted to learn how to make simple browser games, Shithead is my favorite card game, and so that's what I made!
Since I have no artistic talent whatsoever I used graphics that I found at OpenClipArt , a great site with free graphics.
The excellent playing card images were made by Nicu Buculei , check out his site for some more examples of his work. He has lots of great free graphics.

Each part is explained in detail below. This version of Cribbage is for two players, there are many other variations possible, but these rules are only for the variation we've chosen for this site.
There are a lot of rules, I've tried to explain them as best I can here, but you can also look at the rules at www. The game starts with both players drawing a card from the deck to find out who is the dealer.
The person that gets the lower card is the dealer. If the players draw equal cards then they draw again until the dealer can be determined.
This way of determining the dealer is only done in the first round, in subsequent rounds who is the dealer will alternate between the two players.
The dealer deals 6 cards to himself and 6 cards to the opponent. Each player then chooses two cards from their hand to put face down into the crib.
The crib belongs to the dealer and is used at the end of the round to gain extra points. Which cards you choose to put in the crib is very important, as it affects how many points you can get in later parts of the game.
At this point each player has four cards in their hand, and the Crib has four cards. The deck of cards is then put to the side, and the non-dealer also called a pone cuts the deck and then reveals the top card.
This card is referred to as the starter or the cut. If the starter is a Jack then the dealer immediately scores 2 points. This is known as Two for his heels.
Once the starter card has been shown, the players are ready to proceed to the next part of the game. Our main customers are mothers of years old kids and the grand parents who want to buy toys for.
